Wall of Pride 254th Transportation Battalion 5k Run / Walk
Certificate of Appreciation Ringling Bros. Recent Events Who Has Been Helped
In honor of those who signed on the dotted line that they were willing
to pay up to and including their life in defense of our great Nation,
a Wall of Pride will be built on the grounds at Stand Down House.
Faith*Hope*Love*Charity, Inc., is proud to offer
commemorative bricks that will be placed on the Wall of Pride.
Bricks may be purchased in honor and/or memory of a specific Veteran,
Military Service Member or Reservist (living, deceased, or POW MIA)
or as a sign of your / your organization's respect and gratitude.
You can purchase a commemorative brick using the form below
(and pay with your PayPal account or a Credit Card) or by check.

254th Transportation Battalion 5k Run / Walk
We are proud to announce that FHLC, Inc. / Stand Down House is sponsoring the
Florida Army National Guard, 254th Transportation Battalion 5k Run / Walk
and Kids Run. Two Companies of the 254th will be deploying soon and
proceeds* from the Run will support their Family Readiness Groups.

We are honored to announce that in December 2011 we received a
Certificate of Appreciation from the Palm Beach County Board of
Commissioners for the services & help we provide to vets & their families!
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey
Operation Food Drive
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey partnered with Stand Down House for
Operation Food Drive & were pleased with amount of food donated this year,
which will go toward providing holiday meals to veterans in need - our
residents and area homeless vets. We are excited to have Ringling Bros.
support our local homeless veterans!
Veteran Home Give-Away
We are pleased to announce that Sunday, November 13, 2011 we were
able to give a veteran a home! The Navy veteran, who is single and a
quadriplegic, got a 2/2 condo in a 55 and over community in Margate, FL.
This is the first of many homes we plan to give away as part of our efforts
to address the needs & unseen wounds of our veterans & service members.
Take Flight Award Celebration Gala
Our 5th Annual Take Flight Award Celebration Gala, benefitting Stand Down
House & the First Stop Veterans' Resource Center was held November 5, 2011.
We had a great turn out & US Congressman Allen West was the recipient of
this
year's Eagle Award. Photos can now be seen here.

We will continue to provide services to support and assist those gave so
